Tobacco use continues to be the leading cause of preventable illness and death worldwide, posing a significant barrier to achieving sustainable health for all. Strengthening tobacco control policies is therefore essential to advancing global public health goals.

This session, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) and the Korea Health Promotion Institute (KHEPI), will showcase Korea’s cutting-edge approaches to tobacco control and health promotion, with a focus on the integration of artificial intelligence and big data. Participants will gain insights into how digital technologies are reshaping public health strategies, and explore their potential to drive more effective, evidence-based policy interventions in tobacco control and beyond.
