| 세션 시놉시스 (Session Synopsis) | This session will highlight the strategic importance of AI-based early cancer screening and precision medicine in advancing global health. Cancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality across APEC member economies, and early detection is a critical strategy for significantly improving treatment outcomes and survival rates. However, equity challenges persist due to variations in healthcare infrastructure among economies and regions. The session will explore how AI technologies can enhance diagnostic accessibility, address shortages of skilled professionals, and improve cost-effectiveness throughout the cancer care continuum, including imaging diagnostics, pathology analysis, and prognosis prediction. It will feature examples of government-led AI screening initiatives and public–private collaboration in selected APEC economies, and provide an in-depth review of applicability in resource-constrained settings, ensuring data reliability, and addressing ethical and legal considerations. Through this dialogue, participants will exchange insights on how AI-driven cancer management models can generate public value within diverse healthcare systems. |
